So should you use a match or a pipe lighter? It's all down to convenience and your own preference. If you are outside and it's windy, matches probably are not the best choice. There are many wind-proof lighters available today. However, their flame generally burns hotter and stronger, is this the best way to light your tobacco?
It is also inconvenient when you run out of matches, but then again, lighters need refuelling and can run out before you are aware. There is no right and wrong in matches or lighters. If you prefer matches, just remember to keep them dry, if you prefer pipe lighters just remember to keep it topped up.
